Hey guys. I have a problem. So, there's this girl in my school who I thought was my friend, but just last Monday, she stopped talking to me. At first, I thought she was just upset with something in general, like maybe a family death or something. But then I realized that it was me. She was ignoring me. I asked one of my other friends if she was mad at me, and she said that she would ask our friend since they have choir together. She told me she asked her and that our friend only said that if she told me, I'd get mad at her. This made me even more frustrated. I let it go for a while and figured that since it was Thursday, most arguments settle over the weekend and on Monday, everything is fine. But that's far from what happened. In the morning, we all usually meet in the school library and sit at our table that we claimed our own. So, I'm sitting talking with another one of my friends, when I here my other 'friend' talking to one of my 'friends' saying "I haven't talked to her for an entire week!" and my other friend said "Good! Don't! She's not worth it!" I just don't understand. What did I do?
I haven't seen her in 2 days since we've had bio testing in the morning, so I thought maybe things would clear up. Again. They didn't. When the bell rang and I walked over to another one of my friends so we could walk to class since we have the same first period, I saw my 'friend' go over to one of my close friends and talk to her. And the way she was doing it, I knew it was about me. So when I got home today, I texted her and asked her what she said about me. She said she didn't say anything bad, she was just telling her how she hadn't talked to me since last Monday. I just don't get it. What did I do wrong? I've been nothing but nice to her all year and now I'm nothing to her? I don't want to feel like I've done something wrong for the rest of school (which is only like 8 days), but I don't know what to do. ;-;
Hey, Ice Gaze. I'm really sorry about this. As a teacher, I understand that students sometimes have falling outs, but I do my best to get the to reconcile.
ReplyDeleteSo what I suggest is to right now ignore your 'friend' and continue on with the last few days of school. If by then she doesn't change, it'll mean that she was no friend.

It's actually sometimes best to let pupils solve their own friendship problem.

DeleteHi,Ice Gaze.Friendship problems are actually very common.As a person who had many friendship problem with my friends(like A LOT)the only thing I can say is sit down with your friends and try to clear the misunderstanding ,for your Friend that said '"Good!Don'tShe's not worth it!"you should go and talk to her alone,it may be because she was angry at you that day because of something,you should think hard and try to remember if anything happen between the two of you,anything small can lead to something very big,like maybe(no offense)she asked to lend your homework so she can copy it but you refuse to give her etc.if you talk to her,and she says stuff like about your attitude or something(no offense)you should try to change but if after that she is still treating you the same way before you change then I suggest you stop being friends with her.you don't deserve a Friend like that,and you know it.if after you stop being friends with her and she wants to be friends with you again,I suggest you don't agree to reconcile,I mean if she suddenly wants to be friends with you again ,it means she have a motive,right?P.S sometimes texting is better than talking to someone face to face.Best of luck!and remember,if she is the one with fault you don't have to think twice of not being her Friend anymore because,hey,you have thousands of friends,fans and supporters out there,supporting you !^^
