Once upon a time, there was a young, beautiful, innocent princess. Kind and generous as could be. She always put herself before others and just wanted everyone to be happy. She always dreamed of finding her one true love. When one day, she found it. A young prince who was just as kind and innocent as her. However, the princess' mean stepsister liked him as well but told the princess that she'd back off him since the princess saw him first. The princess and the prince were inseparable. They went on walks, they danced, they sang, it was everything the princess ever wanted.
Finally, on the night of a ball, the princess was planning on proposing to the prince. She gathered up all her courage and headed down the hall to find the prince, when she heard the voice of her sister. She peaked her head around the corner to see her sister, already proposing to the prince behind her back. The two hugged as salty tears formed in the princess' eyes. She hoped what she saw hadn't actually happened but she could help but feel sick at the fact that her sister would stoop this low.
After taking a breath and her step sister left, she approached the prince and asked him to marry her when she suddenly started crying. The prince smiled awkwardly and asked why she was crying. She responded, "Because I know you don't feel the same way". The two hugged and made their way down to the dining hall for dinner. The prince sat beside the princess since her step sister was no where to be seen. They laughed and joked like they always had, almost as if nothing had ever happened. Suddenly, the step sister made a grand entrance and sat at the end of the table with the other royals, far from the prince and princess. Until the prince got up and made his way over to the sister. The princess watched in sadness and disbelief as he sat down and offered her a weak smile. She gave herself a minute before excusing herself and walking over. She told them that she was leaving and the prince asked "why are you leaving so early?" to which she responded "I'm feeling sad". And with that, she left. She was hoping, deep down in her heart, that the prince would come after her, but he didn't.
The princess made her way to her friend's house, who happened to be a trusted witch. She asked if she could stay the night and the witch said that she was more than welcome to stay, that it was only her and her brother who were home. The trio made cookies, watched the stars and did magic tricks to try and cheer the princess up. However, nothing had worked. The princess told the witch and the warlock everything that had happened and they tried consoling her the best they could as she cried, remembering all the details. Afterwards, everyone turned in for the night and went into their separate rooms. As the princess was getting ready for sleep, the warlock knocked on the door and let himself in. The princess smiled, having known the warlock for as long as she could remember. The warlock apologized again for what the prince did to the princess and that he wasn't a very royal highness. He asked the princess if she wanted to see another trick before she went to bed, in which the princess said no. The warlock insisted, saying it would make her feel better, that she'd forget all about the prince. The princess told the warlock no and to get out. However, the warlock was really persisted and went through with it anyway. That night, the princess didn't sleep. After about an hour later, tossing and turning, trying to stop herself from crying, she went into the witch's room and gently woke her up. She told her friend she was feeling sick and left their home, back to her own.
The princess spent the next two days in the woods before finally returning home to the castle. When she got home, she found that her sister and the prince were already married. The princess was heartbroken and began telling anyone who would listen about how she had liked the prince first and that the stepsister stole him from her. The stepsister confronted the princess and said "I didn't steal anything. It's not my fault he has no feelings for you whatsoever." The princess wanted to lash out and scream at how she ruined her plan to propose. How sad she had felt. What she had gone through at her friend's house. But she knew her sister would never understand. However, the stepsister said that she would help the princess cope with these feelings and the princess started to feel a tiny ray of hope. She wanted to trust her sister again, she was still naive and kind as ever. Although, it wasn't long until the princess was locked in a tower, left alone with her feelings of sadness and abuse. She couldn't tell anyone her story, her side of the story, nobody would hear her. From her tower, she was forced to watch her sister and the prince live the life she should've led and was forced to wait for a new prince to come save her.
